Cherry Wong joined SYKES in 1999 as a frontline bilingual customer service agent. Now, she is the senior vice president of Area Operations for SYKES Asia. Cherry’s commitment to innovation has helped her create an ecosystem of digital tools that provide collaborative business solutions across the entire operational value chain.
Cherry has always inspired others to work hard and better themselves. As a manager and leader, she is a firm believer in focusing on developing and empowering individuals to create a positive culture of success. As a strategist, she believes in providing simple solutions to complex problems — all while keeping people first.
Cherry is passionate about digital transformation through machine learning tools to optimize home-based operations. She believes that investing in the workforce of today can help support the everchanging customer needs landscape of tomorrow.
Along with her reputation for excellence, Cherry has received several commendations for her outstanding work. In 2007, Cherry was awarded the “I Am SYKES Award” as a recognition of achievement, and in 2018, she received the Silver Stevie in the Female Executive of the Year, Asia, Australia, or New Zealand category, at the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
Cherry graduated from De La Salle University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She currently holds Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
